MIMI

MIMI

SHE/HER

Technical, cheeky, and just a little bit ruthless. That is Mimi’s vibe in class.

Pole first spun into her life 16 years ago, when a doctor told her it was either back surgery, reformer pilates, or pole dancing. Pilates wasn’t exactly thrilling at the time, and as a ballerina with a mischievous streak, the choice was obvious. What started as a rehab experiment turned into a lifelong love affair with strength, artistry, and a little rebellion.

Mimi has cemented her place in the Australian pole scene. She has collected titles, judged competitions across the country, and been invited to teach workshops around the world. Few in the industry can match the breadth of her experience, and her influence has shaped both students and fellow performers alike. Her classes balance sharp technique with creative flair, and she has an instinctive sense of when to push harder and when to ease off depending on where you're at, without you needing to say a word.

In class, expect to sweat, laugh, and curse Mimi’s warmups in equal measure. She may push you past your 'comfort zone', but safely, and always with a wink and some truly terrible analogies that somehow make sense. Her dry humor, fierce technique, and years of experience mean she knows exactly how to spot what is holding you back and get you moving with confidence. She cheekily call you out if you're slacking, but she will also be the proudest voice in the room when you nail it.

Mimi’s own style is flowy and hypnotic, but her teaching superpower is helping students find transitions and tricks that feel natural in their own bodies, making her classes both empowering and addictive. She loves flexy shapes, dramatic floor slams, and (to her advanced students’ horror) endless handstands. Her playlists are as delightfully unpredictable as her warmups: Rufus Du Sol one moment, George Michael and Donna Summer the next, and always a cheeky Pitbull track sneaking in. Dale.

Off the pole, Mimi is a full-time creative director. Students say there is nothing quite like her classes: sweaty, sharp, and full of laughs. She hopes every student leaves feeling accomplished, proud, and untouchable.
