HOW TO BOOK IN

FIRST THINGS FIRST

We're incredibly excited to be a studio that offers Groovio - a purpose built bookings system for pole (the first of its kind). You'll need to connect to Duality - so open one of the accordions below and ensure you connect with the studio.

  • DESKTOP Setup

    1. Go to the Groovio login page on your computer browser

    2. Click “Sign Up” (or “Create Account”)

    3. Fill in your details: name, email, phone, password, etc.

    4. Search for your studio: type “Duality Pole” 

    5. Connect to Duality Pole: click “Join / Connect”

    6. Set up your profile (optional)

  • iPhone Setup

    1. Head to the app store here and download 'Groovio'.

    2. Open the Groovio app on your phone after installation.

    3. Tap “Sign Up” or “Create Account”

    4. Enter your name, email address, phone number, and a password

    5. Accept terms & conditions / privacy policy

    6. Search for 'Duality Pole'

    7. This step links your app account to Duality so you see our classes - please note you will not be able to see/book classes until the timetable is available to book (6 October).

    8. Set up your profile (optional but helpful)

    9. Add your photo, birthday, emergency contact, etc. if asked

    10. Turn on push notifications so you get alerts for upcoming classes, changes, or studio updates

  • android Setup

BEFORE YOU STRESS!

We get it, new systems and navigating them can feel stressful and overwhelming - however, the system is fairly self explanatory if you click around a little. Take a breath, drop the shoulders away from the ears... It's going to be fine!

 

However, if you're unable to click around and find your answer, we've got some guides below, as well as a super helpful ChatGPT bot which you can ask questions to and seek the answers!

BOOK A SEASON

  1. You will need to book each class separately. 

  2. If you’re wanting to book more than one class, a discount will appear with each class you purchase.

  3. You will need to put a deposit of at least 50% down for your class. Once this is purchased, you’ve committed to the season. To view our terms and conditions on booking, please explore here. 

  4. The rest of your course payment will be taken 48 hours prior to the class commencing. 

  5. If you’d like to pay cash, bank transfer or set up a payment plan, please ensure you reach out as soon as you’ve booked your course, or prior to booking.

Booking a trial class

Please note trial classes are only for beginners and people who are coming to Duality for the first time! 

  1. Purchase a ‘trial class’ pass.

  2. Find the class you’d like to purchase. Please note, certain classes are unable to be joined casually after week 3 of our season. You can find classes available to book at any time here.

  3. Use the package ‘casual class’ which should take your checkout to $0. Press buy. 

Booking a CASUAL class

  1. Purchase a ‘casual class’ pass. If you’re an enrolled student, you get a $10 discount. Please let us know if you’d like to purchase a casual class so we can send you the link to buy. 

  2. Find the class you’d like to purchase. Please note, certain classes are unable to be joined casually after week 3 of our season. You can find classes available to book at any time here.

  3. Use the package ‘casual class’ which should take your checkout to $0. Press buy.

BOOK PRACTICE TIME

Depending on how many classes you do per week, your discount structure will be slightly different. Please note you can now use make up classes for practice time! 

  • If you’re not a student at Duality, practice time is $30. 

  • If you do 1-2 classes a week, you get a $10 discount off practice time. This will automatically appear on checkout. 

  • If you do 3 classes a week, you will get one free practice time. The rest are charged at the $10 discounted price. Both of these will appear at check out. 

  • If you do 4+ classes a week, practice time is free.

How to book:

  1. Navigate to the practice session you’re wanting to book

  2. Scroll down and choose ‘pay now’

  3. Want to pay cash at the studio? Please type ‘iwannapaycash’ in the discount code area.

Booking a CATCH UP CLASS

  1. Ensure you’ve cancelled your class before the 4 hour window to get your make up class. 

  2. You will have a ‘make up credit’ within your account

  3. Find the class you’d like to catch up in, and press ‘book now’

  4. Ensure you don’t have ‘enrol in the rest of the term’ ticked (otherwise you will see an amount owing) 

  5. Scroll down to ‘My Purchases’

  6. Find Packages - choose your make up class package you’d like to use

  7. Total to be charged should be $0

  8. Press ‘Complete’

CANCELLING YOUR CLASS

Please note, you’ll be charged if you accumulate 3 ‘no-shows’ - meaning you failed to mark yourself absent. If you cancel within the 4 hour window, you lose the class credit, but will not be charged.

  1. Ensure it’s not within 4 hours of the class starting, otherwise if it is you will not get a make up credit. 

  2. Go to your upcoming classes

  3. If cancelling within 4 hours of the class: Choose the class you want to cancel, if you’re cancelling within the 4 hour period, you’ll see a pop up saying ‘if you cancel now, you will not receive the make up package, as the eligibility period has passed’. 

  4. If cancelling before 4 hours of the start of the class, a window will pop up to say ‘cancellation of a single session within this course will allow you to make up this class within a similar drop in class…’ - click yes.
